CHICAGO RESTAURANT WEEK Jan. 24 – Feb. 9, 2020

Chicago Restaurant Week is a 17-day celebration of the city’s award-winning culinary scene. The 13th annual event brings together hundreds of the city’s top restaurants, representing a near-endless array of cuisines and making it the largest restaurant week in the nation.

During Chicago Restaurant Week, diners can enjoy special prix fixe menus at more than 430 restaurants throughout Chicago and nearby suburbs. These multi-course meals are $24 for brunch or lunch, and $36 and/or $48 for dinner (excluding beverages, tax, and gratuity).

Excited to kick off my weekend off a day early at the First Bites Bash it is the official kick-off event for the 13th annual Chicago Restaurant Week, organized by Choose Chicago. It took place at the Field Museum myself and guests noshed on savory and sweet food tastings from more than 70 of Chicago’s most celebrated chefs and restaurants. As well as toast to the city’s culinary scene with our beer, wine, and spirit sponsors.

This year’s event featured Host Chef Thai Dang and Host Mixologist Danielle Dang of the James Beard Award-nominated HaiSous Vietnamese Kitchen.

This year’s event also benefitted the James Beard Foundation’s Chicago EATS Week Scholarship Fund, which provides financial support to local culinary students.
