The Anti-Cruelty Society is excited to host the 25th anniversary of Chicago’s oldest and largest dog-friendly party—Bark in the Park!

Bark in the Park is Chicago’s oldest dog-friendly party for the whole family which is celebrating its 25thyear! Beginning with a 2.5 mile walk along Chicago’s beautiful lakefront, the event is followed by the best dog party in town with food, beverages, activities, and more.

Guests are encouraged to come for the walk and stay for the party. Guests can show their commitment to our work by raising funds for their participation in the walk and they then return to the event for a variety of fun activities including dog-friendly demonstrations including canine agility courses, product samples from small business sponsors, dog massages, pawdicures, caricature drawings, arts and crafts, family-friendly activities, souvenir photos, and a 50/50 cash raffle. People also enjoy a variety of free food, a beer tent, live music and much more!

Join the Anti-Cruelty Society from 9:00 a.m. for the walk (registration begins at 7:30 a.m.) and then stay for the party! The event runs until noon.

Advance registration is $40 for adults, $10 for children ages 3-12, and children under 3 and dogs are free. Participants are encouraged to join a team or walk as an individual and fund raise for the Society. Fundraising pages can be created at the time of registration at anticruelty.org/bark and prizes are awarded to the top fundraisers.

Bark in the Park is held on the southeast corner outside of Soldier Field at The Stadium Green—just steps from the lake. Parking is available adjacent to the Stadium Green for $20 at the Waldron Lot. Limited street parking is available in the general vicinity of Soldier Field on Wabash and Michigan Avenue but public transportation might be your best option!

Dog owners planning to attend the event with their pets are required to have their dogs up-to-date on their vaccinations and are encouraged to vaccinate them against the canine influenza virus. Dogs must be on a static leash; retractable leashes are not allowed at the event.
