First Bites Bash-Recap!

January 27, 2017

I had an absolute ball last night at First Bites Bash, the official kick-off event for the 10th annual Chicago Restaurant Week, produced by Choose Chicago. This year they changed it up a bit and it was held in the magnificent Aon Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier instead of Union Station. The space was awesome and HUGE! At this fabulous event guests were treated to both savory and sweet food tastings from over 60 of Chicago’s most celebrated chefs and restaurants.

If you missed last night, do not fret!  I am going to share a few of my favorite dishes from the event and you still have time to make a reservation or two for Chicago Restaurant Week which begins today January 27th and goes until February 9th!  Over 300 restaurants in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs offer price fixe food menus for discounted prices! (Brunch/Lunch $22, Dinner $33/44).

Check out the menu’s and the participating restaurants here

This year’s First Bites Bash was hosted by Chef/Partner Sarah Grueneberg of Monteverde Restaurant & Pastificio.A portion of the proceeds from this event benefited the Greater Chicago Food Depository*.
