Happy Holiday’s!

It is almost time to ring in and toast to the new year and you are still not sure what bottle to pick up to toast with?  Here are a few to help you with that dilemma!

Salud! Saulte! Sante’! Cheers!

Taittinger Cuvee Prestige Rose

Who doesn’t LOVE a good Rose??? I do I do, I even more so love a good rose with BUBBLES!  Wonderfully refreshing, this Rose a fabulous light and creamy flavor. Very delicate, yet crisp, berry flavor comes through!  You will likely need more than one bottle its way tooo easy to drink and keep on drinking! it has so much sparkle…so many bubbles..When it POPS, that’s when the party starts!  Caution!!! There can be some big-time overflow! 🙂 Cheers! (priced about $92.00 and can be found at Uncork It)

Gruet Demi Sec

Viva La (NEW) Mexico’…Although this bubbly is from New Mexico, it is one that should be on the list as a great contender to any good sparkling wine, so serve it up!  It is served best chilled, with its golden silver color, this tasty beverage is toasty and yeasty with aromas of a touch of citrus. It’s also frothy and light-to-medium bodied zesty and fruity sweet tangerine and grapefruit flavors with a long sweet tart finish. This one is on the zestier, fruity-dry side of demi-sec. (priced about $13 and can be found at Binny’s)

Henriot Brut Souverain

Now this is a party starter!  Pay attention to the bubbles as they dance around in your glass, then your mouth!  The bubbles almost look as if they are going to jump out the glass…Yes, glass and not cup!   Crisp, yet smooth and not overbearing in flavor.  It has some weight, flavors of green apples, with hints of fresh apricots. There is extreme freshness here, the style dry but rich and very refreshing! (priced about  $37 and can be found at Binny’s)

La Marca Prosecco

This Italian number is a sparkling wine with fresh citrus with hints of honey and white flowers. The flavor is fresh and clean and is easy on the palate, with notes of ripe citrus, lemon, green apple, and touches of grapefruit. This one is on the rise and is sure to get glasses clinking!  (priced about $13  and can be found at both  Binny’s and Kimbark Liquors)

Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Champagne

Of course Veuve…Who doesn’t know about Veuve?!?!?  Well, it is a well-known bottle of fine Champagne.  It is a good bubbly that will be a safe choice and no one will be upset if you bring this bottle to the party!  (priced about $42 and can be found at Binny’s, Kimbark Liquors, and Kenwood)

Enjoy and always drink responsibly!
